Understand the process & terminology
We'll simplify the software development process and terminology, helping you ask better questions and feel more confident when talking with technologists.
Visualize your problem & scope your solution
You'll practice framing your ideas using tools and frameworks that are common in design/development teams.
Prepare for effective engagement
Be ready to engage with design and development teams to progress on your business goals.
By the end of the course, you'll be able to:
Visualize the "problem space" around your idea
Building a successful digital product requires an understanding of the context surrounding it, who the users are, and what your solution will help them accomplish. Show what you know, and what you don't, using simple visual frameworks common to design and development teams
Communicate your idea to a design/development team
Describe a key feature that sets you apart, solves a problem, or adds value to your users.
"Right size" your development idea
Just like Rome wasn't built in a day, your idea won't built in one swoop. It will require iterative development, so knowing what needs to come first—and being prepared to discuss trade-offs with a tech team—is essential to progress and success.

Testimonials
Not sure if this course is for you? Here's how it transformed the way other entrepreneurs approached their work:
[This course] gave me practical tools I could immediately apply to my MVP. Each session clarified my development pathway, documented key considerations, and equipped me with the knowledge and language to communicate effectively with technical partners.
SkyFauna Systems
Participating was an invaluable experience. I had a technology idea but as a non-technical founder, I didn't know where to start. [This course] provided insight into tools, terminology, and models that helped me chart a pathway to launch.
DealPop
I participated with the hopes of learning how apps work and maybe frame up some ideas for my own future project. Little did I know that what I learned in this class would help me launch my own web-based app just a few months later! It's been a total game changer for me!
